Kudos to our HoteliersGuild LeadingHôtelières member Valentina de Santis and her family, owners of the fabulous Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Lago di Como. Their new all-suites Villa Passalacqua will open soon! And that’s what Valentina has to say:

As many of you may know, we are hoteliers with heart and soul. The seeds for this love story were sown many decades ago when Grand Hotel Tremezzo became the family’s first hotel. Now with the third generation leading the way (and the fourth generation growing up fast!), we are channeling the family’s love of hospitality towards a new venture. Passalacqua is our latest passion project and as its new forever guardians, we look forward to sharing it with generations of guests to come.
Like any parent, we love all our children because of their unique traits and that certainly is true for us. We are so proud of the Grand Tour glamor and Belle Époque buzz of Grand Hotel Tremezzo and equally smitten by Passalacqua with its elegant intimacy and 18th-century soul. These iron gates have swung wide for quite a few illustrious visitors over the centuries – Napoleon, Churchill and Bellini among them – and after three years of painstaking renovation, we are finally ready to introduce a new generation of guests to this unparalleled property and the lost art of villeggiatura.
An age-old ritual that invites travelers to put aside their everyday realities for the simpler pleasures of a country estate, villeggiatura has a rich history on Lake Como. We hope our guests might make this legacy their own and come to Passalacqua, like so many before them, to slow down time, to marvel at nature’s splendor and to feel a true sense of home away from home.
